Thank you to those who came and saw Inflorescence in Melbourne Fringe 2015!

Coached by Dan Pavatich.

In the garden, four seeds are planted. With some sunlight, water and time, these seeds bloom into beautiful flowers. Much like these seeds, Inflorescence blooms an improvised theatrical experience based off an audience member’s single suggestion, full of massive characters, relatable scenarios, and bold risks.

Infloresence will make it’s world premiere as part of the 2015 Melbourne Fringe Festival. Trades Hall’s Old Council Chambers hosts the show, opening Thursday for a limited six night run from Thursday, September 17 through Saturday, September 26.

Inflorescence is made up of six skilled performers: James Brennan, Mike Brown, Megan Budge, Cat Commander, Brittney Crellin, and Tim Quabba, who together have over ten years of improvisation experience. Each night, four members of Inflorescence come together to create and perform a show entirely from scratch – all inspired by you, the audience. There are no pre-defined characters. No scripts to consult backstage. No idea what it is until it’s over.

As a show, Inflorescence is based off Christian Capozzoli’s long-form improv format 4Track, previously seen at New York’s Magnet Theatre. 4Track is unlike other improv you’ve seen, closer to a funny one-act play than a series of games and scenes. Grounded in true relationships, built up with matching physicality and energy, then shattered to pieces with hilarious commentary on the action that preceded it; Inflorescence is daring, energetic, fascinating, and hilarious.

We are ready to bloom. Come join us in the garden.
