Dear Lauren,

If you’re reading this then you know I’m still here. In the lounge room, playing Cuphead. That’s right, I’m still playing 2017’s Cuphead on the Xbox One, whose combination of hand illustrated visuals, run ‘n’ gun game-play and jazz soundtrack has stolen the attention, but not the presence, of me, the man you loved and thought you knew.

I really thought you and I would use the TV for a variety of purposes forever, but unfortunately it’ll just be me using the TV, playing Cuphead, forever.

I know it’s going to be hard given I’ll still be around in the lounge room – playing Cuphead – but I trust we will make this work.
