Dan is a versatile comedy writer and performer with experience in standup, sketch and web. Dan was a Raw Comedy 2016 VIC state finalist, and performs as an ensemble member of The Big HOO-HAA! (Melbourne), The Improv Conspiracy (Melbourne), Now Showing: The Improvised Movie and Improv Against Humanity. Dan writes for the Giant Dwarf sketch show, Sketchy at Best (Sydney) and established the monthly sketch show Champagne Factory (Melbourne) in 2015.

Dan appeared in Season One (13 Episodes) of Misguided, the improvised television show, which aired nationally in 2015. Dan performed his first solo sketch comedy show ‘Please Stay’ in MICF 2015 with all proceeds being donated to BeyondBlue, followed by the storytelling exploration of masculinity ‘Big Strong Boy’ in Melb Fringe 2015 and the parody of all things motivational ‘#1 NINJA’ in MICF 2016.

Dan has studied with many great institutions including Second City (Chicago and LA), iO Chicago, The Annoyance Theatre (Chicago), Impro Melbourne (Melbourne), Improv Conspiracy (Melbourne) and 16th Street Studios (Melbourne). Dan has also studied independently with many prominent teachers including Rich Talarico, Dave Razowsky, Jeff Griggs, Jimmy Carrane, Bill Arnett and many more.

In 2014, Dan toured internationally with the Improv troupe Bear Attack, which answered the question “What if a bear attacked the cast every show?” Dan has also toured nationally with The Remix and Now Showing: The Improvised Movie, which was nominated for Best Comedy Show at Fringe World 2015.

Dan has been directing Improvisation for 4 years  and has directed a number of scripted live Comedy productions including the acclaimed ‘Wyatt Nixon Lloyd: 200 Voicemails’ which debuted at Perth Fringe World 2015 followed by a season at Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2015.
